Tempers flared into violence on a north-side neighborhood street earlier today, when an argument between two men escalated to a gunfight, according to the San Antonio Police Department. Officers were called to the scene at the 1000 block of Ridgewood Court in response to the gunfire.

The confrontation involved a man in his 20s and another in his 40s. Witnesses described the younger man shouting from the front of a residence while the older man retorted from his truck. As the shouting match peaked, both individuals drew firearms and began to fiercely exchange shots. During the altercation, the man in his 40s was struck multiple times and managed to somehow drive to his home to call for assistance, police said.
