Glendale Police detailed the sequence of events, explaining that "Officers were able to safely evacuate the individuals inside the home, but the suspect barricaded himself inside." Officers on the scene eventually deployed a K-9 unit, which subdued the suspect, allowing law enforcement to take control of the situation.

Additional details were provided by 12 News, noting that the incident took place around 10:30 a.m. near 63rd Avenue, and Bethany Home Road. The police have not yet released the suspect's identity, nor the extent of the injuries sustained during the apprehension by the K-9 unit.
