The Lone Star State has ramped up the hunt for one of its most wanted. The Texas Department of Public Safety (DPS) has just named Marcos Christopher Alonzo, a 46-year-old sex offender from Hutchins, this month's Featured Fugitive, as reported on their website. There's now a $4,000 price on information that'll help to swiftly bring him into custody—if the tip comes in during May.

Alonzo has been on the run since February 2023, having dodged a Dallas County warrant for failing to stay in line with sex offender registration rules. His criminal history digs deep into the past, with a 2005 conviction for indecency with a child by contact after an incident involving a 5-year-old girl hastily put him behind bars for five years. He found himself again on the wrong side of the law in 2011, snagging another three-year stint for failing to register as a sex offender, as DPS reports.

He's described as 5 feet 11 inches tall, around 250 pounds, and quite visibly stands out with tattoos marking his head, neck, chest, and arms. Anyone with information can visit the DPS website for more details or to catch updates should Alonzo be apprehended.
