Multiple readers reported hearing gunfire on Webster Street between Haight and Page last night.

The shots reportedly occurred around 9:30pm. However, there's scant evidence of what actually happened.

SFPD Officer Dennis Toomer told us this morning that police responded to the scene after receiving calls of anywhere between 4 and 8 gunshots. However, he said that the alleged gunfire did not activate gunshot detectors in the area. One witness reported seeing a male running from the area, but could not provide a further description, so police were unable to identify or apprehend anyone. There were no injuries or damage reported, and no bullets or shells recovered. So, a little mysterious, but there's not much to report here, thankfully.
