It's Labor Day, and your local news reporters are taking a break. That means that we're turning the site over to you for the day.

Got a question for your neighbors? A burning issue? A rant or rave about your neighborhood? Fire away in the comments section.

But, in keeping with the day's significance, you can also consider this your opportunity to give a shoutout to the workers around you: the baristas, bartenders, bus drivers, artists, delivery people, police officers, musicians, restaurant workers, retail staff, and local business owners who've made your day (or otherwise).

In recent months, we've spent time with a host of local businesses. We bid farewell to the African Outlet, went behind the counter at 20th Century Cafe, Maker & Moss and Mixed Nuts, and talked to the Hulme brothers of Suppenküche and Biergarten. Over on Divisadero, we hung out with NoPa's resident seamstress, went inside Your Scents Trading, checked out Helen's Wigs, met a local bike messenger, talked music at Panhandle Guitars, explored the longstanding Comix Experience, met an Alamo Square dogwalker, went inside New Star-Ell, and tapped in with the bartenders of Waziema, The Page, NOPA and Madrone.

But! There are so many more people who put in work in and around our neighborhoods, and we'd like to give a big thank you to them all.

Happy Labor Day, enjoy the sunshine, and check back tomorrow for a return to our regularly scheduled programming. Until then, we leave it to you.
