Arrest Made In Golden Gate And Broderick 'Road Rage' ShootingFlickr / alancleaver
This afternoon, the SFPD announced that an arrest had been made in the August 31st drive-by shooting at Golden Gate and Broderick which left one man critically injured.
On Tuesday, October 14th, 25-year-old Easy Chang of San Francisco was arrested after Park Station’s investigations team and plain clothes officers executed a search warrant for a residence and vehicle. Police released a sketch of the suspect and the car involved in the incident back in September, though it's unclear whether the sketch prompted a lead which led to the arrest.

If you'll recall, the shooting in question occurred at about 2:15pm on August 31st in the area of Golden Gate and Broderick. Per the police report, a suspect vehicle nearly struck a male pedestrian as he was in the crosswalk, and after a verbal altercation between the two parties, the suspect pulled into a driveway down the street, backed up, then shot the victim with a handgun from 30 to 50 feet away. The suspect then drove closer to the victim and shot the victim again before fleeing in his vehicle.

Chang was booked into San Francisco County Jail for attempted homicide with a firearm, aggravated assault with a firearm, possession of an unregistered firearm and discharging a firearm from a vehicle.

We'll keep you posted as we learn more about the case.
