Last week, we reported that Sliderbar at 2295 Market Street had been shut down by the San Francisco Department of Public Health for an apparent cockroach infestation that inspectors found to be an "imminent health hazard." The restaurant reopened today after working to address the problem.
Over the weekend, restaurant crews could be seen pulling out equipment from the kitchen to give the restaurant a good deep cleaning. Crews also caulked holes in the wood facade above of the bar area and  an exterminator came out to deal with the cockroaches.

The Health Department came back to the restaurant yesterday afternoon for the scheduled re-inspection and gave the restaurant permission to reopen. According to DPH representative Kenny Wong, Sliderbar decided to spend yesterday evening cleaning and getting everything in order.

We've reached out to the owner to find out how they've cleaned up the place and what their plans are moving forward, and we'll update you if we hear more.
