This weekend offers a cornucopia of this-and-that events in the Upper Haight.

In the arts, there's a whole bunch of live music coming to the neighborhood:

Milk Bar, at 1840 Haight, is hosting John Travoltage this Friday, January 23rd at 9pm ($7 at the door) with Edwards Crossing and False Priest.

On Saturday the 24th at 9pm it's The Queen Is Dead, Milk Bar's regular Smiths/Morrissey party, and Sunday, January 25th at 8pm is Tell River ($5 tickets) with Lowmen and the Bullet Band.

Amoeba has two live shows coming up this week: Tuesday, January 27th at 2pm is San Francisco-based The Dodos, in preparation for their February 11th show at Great American Music Hall. Entry is free.

Finally, next Saturday, January 31st at 2pm, Amoeba and Converse are hosting a live show by the (also local Cocktails. The show is free and Amoeba will be giving away a limited number of 7" albums.

In criminal news, Park Station Captain Raj Vaswani announced via Twitter that an officer made a successful arrest of someone wanted for human trafficking and sex violations. The arrest took place between Clayton and Cole.

Captain Vaswani confirmed the arrest in an email, though he said that he can't share further details at this time.

This weekend also marks the first weekend of the de Young's Janet Delaney: South of Market exhibition. Admission is included in general entry ticket price ($10). It's a chance to see SoMa as it looked in the 1970s and 1980s.

As our Inner Sunset compatriots noted,  extended Friday hours are now in play for the final weeks of Keith Haring's de Young exhibit. The hours will run from 5:30–9pm tonight and all Fridays until mid-February; book online to get in for just $15.

In transit news, this, the fifth scheduled weekend tunnel closure on the N-Judah Sunset Tunnel construction project (scheduled to continue until June) is cancelled. N-Judah service will continue as normal.

Finally, if you're looking for new work in the new year, Haight Street is hiring. Job openings run the gamut from retail to food to non-profit and include gigs at the Haight Street Market, Wasteland, FACES SF, RAW juice company, and Fun Shop.
