The new open-air pissoir in Dolores Park has drawn some complaints for its somewhat flimsy privacy screen, but that's apparently only the beginning of its troubles. According to the ExaminerSacramento-based nonprofit Pacific Justice Institute (which the Southern Poverty Law Center identifies as an "active anti-LGBT group") is now threatening to sue the city if the urination station isn't removed.

In a letter to the city, the PJI argues that the urinal violates its users' privacy, discriminates against women and the disabled, and could potentially unwillingly expose passersby to users' genitalia. “We intend to give their legal theories all the consideration they deserve,” City Attorney’s Office spokesman Matt Dorsey told the Examiner
