SFPD Asks For Public's Help In Identifying FiDi Sexual Assault SuspectImage: SFPD

A 23-year-old woman was sexually assaulted at a Financial District hotel on Sunday, April 24th, and SFPD is now asking for the public's help in identifying the alleged perpetrator.

The incident occurred around 1:30am that morning, when the victim met the suspect walking around the FiDi. After engaging in conversation, they entered the hotel, where the assault occurred. The suspect fled the hotel shortly thereafter. He's described as being 5'8" and around 25-30 years old, with a medium complexion; he told the victim that his name was "Sergio."

According to SFPD, this incident may be related to a similar assault that occurred in the same area of the FiDi on March 26th.

Anyone with information should call the San Francisco Police Department’s Special Victims Unit at (415) 553-9225. You can also contact the SFPD Anonymous Tip Line at (415) 575-4444, or text a tip to Tip411 with SFPD at the start of the message.
