It's the beginning of another beautiful weekend—and for those of you planning ahead, here's what's coming up over the weekend and into next week.

Tomorrow, indie bookstores across the city will be celebrating Independent Bookstore Day; in our own hamlet, The Booksmith will be hosting letter writing and printmaking to celebrate all things printed.

L.A.-based band Bleached is going to be playing a free show at Amoeba on Monday at 5pm. They'll be promoting their new album, The Worms, in advance of a show later that night at Bottom Of The Hill.

And next Wednesday, Milk Bar will be hosting its second May the Fourth trivia celebration, so get ready to get your nerd on. You might consider brushing up on your Star Wars mythology this weekend; there will be prizes for the winners.

Not to mention, the weather is lining up to be gorgeous for the weekend, so stock up on beer and your picnic gear and get ready to hit the parks. Might we also recommend a light brunchtime booze-up?

Without further ado, here's a look at what's in store for the weekend and beyond:
