With a three-day holiday weekend ahead of us, there's much to do in the Outer Sunset. It'll be an ideal weekend to hit the outdoors, as the weather promises to be balmy—or at least, warmer than usual for our misty district.

Highlights for this weekend include the Carnivore Carnival at the San Francisco Zoo, a fun-filled festival featuring the carnivorous denizens of the Zoo, including bears, tigers, and lions, oh my!

Ocean Beach also features two events for those seeking a more mellow experience this weekend. On Sunday, choose between making large-scale art on the beach or joining a community bonfire hosted by two nonprofits.

Finally, if you love the Vietnamese sandwich known as banh mi, learn how to make them yourself with a free cooking class at the Ortega Branch Library.

Here are all the events coming up this week in the Outer Sunset. For more fun around the city, check out our full events calendar at hoodline.com/events. If you have an event you'd like to add to our calendar, you can submit it here for free.
