Now that Pride Week is over and you've had a couple days to recover, it's time to start thinking about the long 4th of July weekend.
As we all know, we can usually count on the fog making an appearance for the holiday's fireworks. If you're looking for some of the best places to catch the fireworks around the neighborhood, head up to either Kite Hill Park or Corona Heights for a chance to catch the action. Fireworks begin at 9:30pm.
Join the Sisters of Perpetual Indulgence in collaboration with the Castro CBD tonight for a blessing ceremony at the Memorial for the Orlando victims. After the blessing, the memorial will be taken down.
On Thursday night, "eclectic and electric Tony-Award winner" Alan Cumming descends on the Castro to perform at the Castro Theatre in support of his album Alan Cumming Sings Sappy Love Songs.
Get your 4th of July BBQ fix early on Saturday at the Lookout, with Mega Motown Brunch BBQ Edition. Come for the food and stay for the show afterwards, hosted by Carnie Asada.
Head to the GLBT History Museum on Tuesday evening for Rhino in the Castro: Swollen Tongues, the first in a monthly reading series of plays from Theatre Rhinoceros, which reflect the LGBTQ community and its allies.
