Two men have been shot and killed in shootings this weekend, adding to a particularly violent period which has seen eight homicides in less than two weeks.

Oceanview shooting kills 1, injures another

On Friday night, police responded to the area of Plymouth Avenue and Broad Street just past 7pm, to find a 20-year-old man shot to death, and a 50-year-old man suffering non-life-threatening injuries. No further details about the Oceanview shooting have yet been released.

Man killed in SoMa shooting

On Saturday just before 6pm, police responded to a call that gunshots had been fired near the corner of Sixth and Natoma streets. Upon arrival, they located a man in his 20s suffering from an apparent gunshot wound. The victim was transported to a hospital but was pronounced dead on arrival. No arrest has yet been made. 

2 injured in Precita Park shooting

Just a few hours later, shortly after 9pm, two men, both in their mid-20s, were shot on the 500 block of Precita in Bernal Heights. Police said that an argument ensued which led to the shooting. Both victims were taken to a hospital, one with minor injuries, and one the other in life-threatening condition.
