According to SFPD, a 29-year-old man was injured shortly before 3:30pm yesterday in a strongarm robbery, in which his camera and camera equipment were stolen, near Sutro Heights Park.

The incident occurred at 900 Point Lobos Ave., roughly near the parking lot to Sutro Heights Park and across the street from the Cliff House and Sutro Baths. The robbers, two men in their early 20s, ran up to the man as he was taking pictures, grabbed his camera and equipment and jumped into a waiting sedan, which was kept running by three other men of indeterminate age.

The victim managed to maintain a grip on his camera as the robbers tried to wrench it away, and as the car sped away, he continued to hold on and was dragged, suffering arm and shoulder injuries.

The robbers ultimately got away with the camera, and no arrest was made. The man was non-critically injured and declined medical attention.
