New Video Of Alchemy By Alta Dirt Bikers Surfaces; SFPD Seeking More EvidenceScreenshot: Tuomas Sahramaa/Instagram

As we reported on Wednesday, dirt bikers have been spotted using the public staircase at the Alchemy by Alta apartment complex for weekend joyrides.

After tipster James K. sent us photos, neighbors on Nextdoor began discussing the Instagram video below showing dirt bikers riding around the Alchemy by Alta complex two weeks ago.

Hate these guys... so much for security 🚨 🏍#alchemybyalta

"Unfortunately, the size of this bike gang was too large for security," the Alchemy by Alta Instagram account said in a comment on the video. "We spotted members of this bike gang again yesterday and immediately called the police. We will eventually catch these guys." The company also added that they apologize for the inconvenience.

When reached by phone Friday, SFPD spokesperson Giselle Talkoff confirmed that the department is aware of the issue. Given that "it's too dangerous to chase them," investigators are working to collect photos or videos that can be used to identify individuals and specific traffic violations, including riding the staircase or not wearing a helmet.

Talkoff encouraged neighbors with photographic evidence to contact their district's police station directly. For Alchemy By Alta residents, that would be Northern Station.

She also invited concerned neighbors to attend the next Lower Haight Merchants and Neighbors Association at 7:30pm March 13th at Black Sands, which an SFPD representative is expected to attend.
