Shortly before 9am this morning, a one-alarm fire broke out at a three-story apartment building at 3660 Taraval St., at the corner of 47th Avenue.
"I could smell the smoke from [Ocean Beach], even before the fire department came," said tipster Dan D., a witness at the scene.
As firefighters battled the blaze, first responders conducted a dramatic rescue of a 91-year-old woman, a wheelchair user, from the third floor of the apartment building.
Another adult at the scene was also rescued.
