At 1:44pm, a one-alarm fire broke out at the Bayview Rise art project at 696 Amador Way on Pier 92, near the intersection of Illinois Street and Cargo Way.

The area, which houses a building owned by the Port of San Francisco, serves as the official gateway into Bayview District upon exiting the Potrero/Dogpatch neighborhoods.

No injuries have been reported.

The Bayview Rise project was produced by artists Laura Haddad and Tom Drugan, and at night, the animated mural lights up with different patterns and colors.

We reached out to SFFD's spokesperson Officer Jonathan Baxter for more details around the fire; this story will be updated once we hear back.
