Local chain La PanotiQ Bakery Café has closed both its San Francisco locations.

The cafes, located at 2234 Chestnut St. in the Marina, and 4018 24th St. in Noe Valley, served pastries, desserts and lunch and brunch fare in a French-inspired atmosphere. The Marina location opened in summer of 2014; the Noe Valley location debuted in August 2016.

La PanotiQ announced the closures via Facebook on May 3rd:

Our Chestnut Street Café has closed, effective April 30. It has been a pleasure serving you here in the Marina, and we will truly miss being present in the neighborhood.

We have, unfortunately, outgrown our location here, and have decided to move our operations to our new Burlingame Café, where we can better meet the needs of our guests and catering clients.

The Noe Valley location "has closed due to delays caused by extensive building repairs," according to the closure announcement.

La PanotiQ will continue to operate locations in Burlingame, Campbell, Livermore and Mountain View. As for what might be next for the two newly vacant retail spaces, we'll have to wait and see.
