The search continues for a man who has been missing since May 14.

Piseth Chhay, a 47-year-old father and a full-time Uber driver, disappeared on Mother’s Day. This past Saturday, his car was found on Davidson Avenue in the Bayview.

The car, a silver Mercedes SUV, was discovered by a police patrol and impounded. The vehicle was stripped of everything, including its wheels. His family suspects foul play.

Chhay disappeared on his day off. He was driving to a friend's house, but he never arrived. His phone’s been turned off ever since.

As ABC7 reported last week, Chhay’s family is concerned that an Uber passenger who reportedly left his phone in Chhay’s car the day before his disappearance may somehow be involved. The passenger allegedly managed to track Chhay down at his home, and the driver’s wife, Rattana Kim, is worried that the passenger may have gotten Chhay involved in some kind of trouble.

"He loves his family way too much to leave without telling us where he's going or not even a phone call," Kim told ABC7.

The SFPD’s Special Victims Unit has few other leads.

On Saturday, investigators visited Chhay’s house to look for any potential clues as to where he may be. They collected Chhay’s laptop, iPad, toothbrush and razor.
