On Wednesday evening, a 61-year-old man and a 31-year-old man were injured after a suspect allegedly blazed through a red light and collided with their car in the Richmond neighborhood.

According to SFPD, the suspect—a 20-year-old man—was heading east on Anza towards 5th Avenue. Police attempted to pull the suspect over for a traffic stop, but he reportedly refused to yield and sped away.

The suspect turned right onto 5th Ave. and then ran a red light when he reached Balboa St., colliding with a car driven by the two victims.

The two men in the car sustained injuries that were not considered to be life-threatening, and were taken to a hospital.

The suspect was arrested at the scene, but as of this writing, police have not revealed his identity or further details.
