Early in the morning on June 21st at 3:20am, two unknown male suspects approached a 38-year-old man near Church and 19th. The suspects attacked the man and stole his phone, wallet, ID, keys, and credit cards before fleeing the scene.

No arrests were made and the victim was transported to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

"Hot Cop" Ordered To Stand Trial

Last November, Hoodline covered the arrest of Castro's "Hot Cop," also known as Christopher Kohrs (pictured at top), who was taken in for a 2015 hit-and-run that sent two victims to the hospital with severe injuries.

On June 21st, a judge ordered Korhs to stand trial on two felony counts, one of which was elevated to felony hit-and-run with serious or permanent injury.

Kohrs is set to return to court on July 5th for further proceedings and to set a trial date. He has already settled a civil lawsuit filed against him by one of the victims.

Sleeping Man Stabbed On Market St.

On June 23rd at 2:42am, a 22-year-old man was sleeping near Market and Dolores when an older man in his thirties approached and stabbed him in the back. The suspect fled on 14th Street and the victim was transported to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries. No arrest was made.

At 12:56am on June 24th, a man, 52, was on Market near Diamond when three women, 20-30, approached him and slapped his phone out of his hand before taking it.

All three suspects then punched the victim and fled to an awaiting vehicle, driven by a fourth, male suspect, 25-30. The vehicle fled east on Market Street and no arrests were made.

Pink Saturday Fire On Castro St.

On Pride Saturday in the Castro, there was a building fire around 3:45pm in a residential unit above Posh Bagel at 495 Castro St.

SFFD had the fire under control shortly thereafter. Both stories above Posh Bagel appear to have been damaged, but the shop was open and operating normally the following day.

Man Hospitalized After Dolores Park Knife Assault

At 7:57pm on June 25th in Dolores Park, a man, 28, was walking through the park when he passed a group of people and bumped into one of them. He looked down and then realized that the man he bumped into had cut his arm with a knife.

The victim was transported to the hospital for the injury and no arrest was made.

Douglass St. Car Theft

Early in the morning of June 26th between 1:30-3:50am, a 71-year-old man parked his vehicle in front of his residence on Douglass near 18th and left his keys inside his closed garage.

He later found that an unknown suspect had stolen the vehicle.
