Belcampo's Restaurant To Reopen in August After RenovationsPhoto: Belcampo Meat Co.

Belcampo Meat Co.'s restaurant at 1998 Polk St. (between Jackson and Pacific) in Russian Hill is temporarily closed for renovations. Plans call for an August 1st reopening with a revamped menu and dining experience.

A representative from Belcampo's headquarters in Oakland said it'll be expanding the butcher shop and adding a selection of grab-and-go items—such as freshly-made salads and salumi from Belcampo by Mario Batali, the chef's signature line—as well as an array of beer and wine options.

The restaurant's streamlined menu will also focus on Belcampo's burgers—including the popular Fast Burger—along with fries, charcuterie, and butcher-inspired daily specials.

Plans are also in the works for an Oakland branch in Jack London Square, in the former Bocanova space, reported Inside Scoop

In the meantime, Russian Hill carnivores can still get their fix: "while our restaurant is closed," writes Belcampo on its website, "you can still pick up meaty goodness from our butcher shop."

Belcampo Meat Co.'s butcher shop will be open daily during construction, 10am–8pm.
