Find All-You-Can-Eat Hot Pot At Portola's New 'Chef Li's Cafe'Photo: Huang M./Yelp

A new Chinese spot specializing in all-you-can-eat hot pot has opened its doors in the neighborhood. Called Chef Li's Cafe, the new arrival is located at 2726 San Bruno Ave. (between Wayland St & Bacon St) in the Portola.

With a plethora of broth styles to choose from, as well as a well-stocked sauce bar (think peanut sauce, sesame sauce, bean curd, soy sauce, scallions, etc.), the new spot brings a much-loved genre of group dining to San Bruno Avenue. The $22.99 all-you-can-eat hot pot option includes appetizers; a limited selection of dim sum-style items like pot stickers, green onion pancake and dumplings; dessert and milk tea; as well as the classic hot pot fixings of meats, tofu, vegetables, noodles and more. (For those not in the mood for hot pot, there's also a selection of more basic Chinese food options.)

Open since June 11th, Chef Li's Cafe seems to be a welcome addition thus far, with a 4.5-star rating out of 16 reviews on Yelp.

Alan L., who was among the first Yelpers to review the new spot on June 26th, said: "Exceptional all around. Had hot pot which is all you can eat. Good quality meats. Very friendly service. Milk tea comes with hot pot. Pork bone soup was so good."

Yelper Alex T. added: “I was excited about this place and i know it was a must visit. Any day for shabu hot pot is a yass in sf... . So i called ahead and asked if they offer it during lunch and she confirmed it yes!"

Swing on by to take a peek for yourself: Chef Li's Cafe is open daily from 9am–10:30pm.
