Homicide investigators have released images from a surveillance camera depicting two people of interest who are sought in connection with a fatal shooting in the Marina on May 20th.

Sometime that day between 6:15am and 11am, 32-year-old Kelly Freeman was killed on the steps of a building on the 100 block of Alhambra Street when he was shot by an unknown person.

Around 11:30am, someone called police to report what they believed to be a man sleeping on their steps; when police responded to perform a welfare check, they discovered Freeman was bleeding from a gunshot wound to the head. He was declared dead at a hospital.

Investigators have distributed two images from a surveillance camera of people wanted for questioning in this matter:

One of the people police are seeking in connection with the May 20 shooting.

The first individual appears to be a male with light complexion who is wearing a dark hooded sweatshirt, a black jacket with white trim around zippered breast pockets, and what may be white and gray Air Jordan 13-style shoes.

The second person of interest in the case.

The second person appears to be a light-complected adult male who’s wearing a purple/maroon hooded sweatshirt, black tennis shoes with white laces similar to Converse Chuck Taylors, and blue jeans.

Police are asking anyone who can identify these individuals to call their anonymous 24-hour tip line at 415-575-4444 or text to TIP411 with "SFPD" at the start of the message.
