Mixing up your weekend routine can be tough, especially without breaking the bank. But if you're looking for something fun to do in the Mission this weekend, we've found five fun activities that are worth your time, from a campy stoner musical to a lesson in making sourdough bread. Best of all, all five are offered at a discount. Read on for some fun and relatively inexpensive ways to spice up a weekend in the Mission.

See fresh live theater with The Infinite Wrench

The San Francisco Neo-Futurists were named Theater Company of the Year in 2016's 48 Hills poll, and they're certainly among the city's hardest-working thespians: every week, they create a bevy of new two-minute plays, resulting in an ever-evolving show they've dubbed The Infinite Wrench.

Specifically designed to appeal to those "unreached or unmoved by traditional theater," the plays offer a mix of everything from comedy to dance to performance art—and if you don't like what's on stage, it'll be over in less than two minutes. Tickets to Friday and Saturday's 9pm shows are normally $15, but Goldstar has them for free; all you have to pay is a $4.75 service fee.

Cut the lines on a Mission food tour

Ever dreamed of being able to skip right over the lengthy lines at Tartine or Pizzeria Delfina? You can if you're part of Sidewalk Walking Tours' food tour of the Mission, which cuts the line at five super-busy spots like Tacolicious, Taqueria Cancun, and Craftsman and Wolves for a series of snacks and a little neighborhood history. Bonus: you can delight some friendly out-of-towner tour-mates by offering them your own local restaurant recommendations.

Six spots remain on this Sunday's tour, which kicks off at 11am; Groupon has tickets for $49 (usually $69).

Burn some calories with TRX at bodyFi

After you've eaten your way through the neighborhood, you can burn off some calories at one of this Mission Street exercise studio's TRX classes. Short for Total Resistance eXercise, TRX uses suspension equipment to help tone exercisers from head to toe, using only their bodyweight.

Designed by a former Navy SEAL, TRX actually made its debut right here in SF, though it's now used by exercise studios all over the world. A set of four TRX classes at bodyFi is normally $80, but Groupon is offering them for $29.

Take a bread-making class with Sour Flour

Sick of paying $5/loaf for fancy artisan bread? Learn to make your own at one of Sour Flour's workshops, where you'll get schooled on the basics of how to make a sourdough starter, whip up a batch of fresh flatbread, and get starter to take home for creating your own loaves. (Already got your own starter? Bring it in and they'll give it a health checkup.)

This weekend has three workshop slots available, at 3pm on Saturday and noon or 3pm on Sunday. Tickets are normally $80 for one person or $160 for two, but they're $39 and $79, respectively, on Groupon.

Smoke out Reefer Madness: The Musical

1936's anti-drug propaganda film Reefer Madness was meant to dissuade Depression-era youngsters from toking, but instead, it became a camp classic among generations of stoners. Now, it's been turned into a tongue-in-cheek musical, which deftly satirizes its dramatic predictions of danger and death for anyone who comes near the demon weed. With its slapstick mashup of horror, psychedelia, film noir, and other genres, it has a little something for everyone.

Tickets to the 8pm performances on Friday and Saturday are normally $35-40, but Goldstar has them for $17.50-30.
