The weekend is almost here, and it's time to start thinking about your next dinner out.

If you're looking to try something new, we found seven restaurants in SoMa that all hold Yelp ratings of four stars or higher with at least 100 reviews—but still have a number of two- or four-person tables available at prime times this weekend (7-9pm on Friday and Saturday). We also sorted them into three different price ranges, with an option for every budget. Bon appetit!

$$ ($11-30 per person)

Montesacro

This Roman "pinseria," which holds a 4.5-star rating with 360 reviews on Yelp, specializes in pizza-like flatbreads with seasonal toppings, served in a warm and homey atmosphere. You can round out your pie with sott'olli (vegetables marinated in olive oil) and a selection of Italian wines.

A number of prime tables are available for this weekend, including slots for two anytime between 7-8pm on Friday, and at 7:45pm or 8pm on Saturday. Parties of four can dine from 7:30 onward on Friday, and at 8:45 on Saturday.

Lao Table

A spinoff of SF's popular Osha group of Thai restaurants, Lao Table is focused on the cuisine of northeastern Thailand and Laos, the home region of chef Lalita Souksamlane. It holds a four-star Yelp rating with 290 reviews, and reviewers' most recommended dishes include the crispy sticky rice salad, the Lao fried rice, and the Mark Mango, a shaved ice dessert with mango and condensed milk.

The restaurant has tables available for two or four diners at all the prime times this weekend, from 7-9pm.

This classic French bistro specializes in traditional dishes like terrine of foie gras, French onion soup, and floating island, a dessert of meringue topped with creamy creme anglaise. With 4.5 stars across 138 Yelp reviews, it earns praise for its attentive, largely French staff.

Tables at Mathilde are available for parties of two or four in all of the prime time slots from 7-9pm on both Friday and Saturday.

1601 Bar & Kitchen

This hip Sri Lankan-inspired bistro has plenty of room for parties of two or four on Friday and Saturday night, with prime-time tables available anytime between 7 and 8:30pm. It holds four stars with 208 reviews on Yelp, and many reviewers recommend the egg hopper (a lacy traditional Sri Lankan crepe), the lamb and pork meatballs, and the coconut ceviche.

Lovers of Italian food will delight in this sleek and chic Italian restaurant, where the suppli (tomato risotto croquettes), octopus carpaccio, and cacio e pepe pasta are a big hit with Yelpers, who give it four stars across 964 reviews. The service and wine selection also earn high marks.

The restaurant has tables available for two in most time slots between 7:30 and 9pm on both Friday and Saturday, and from 8pm onward for parties of four.

Mourad

Mourad Lahlou's high-end Moroccan-inspired restaurant is a glamorous place to dine for those with plenty to spend. With four stars across 628 Yelp reviews, it's highly regarded for dishes like the eggplant three ways and the mini basteeya pastries, as well as for a strong selection of wine and cocktails.

Tables at Mourad are still available for two at 6 or 8:45 on Friday, and for four at 6:45 or 8:45 on Friday or Saturday.

Omakase

If only the highest-end sushi will satisfy your palate, this Michelin-recognized spot in the Design District is sure to deliver, with 4.5 stars across 263 Yelp reviews. Offering two different menus of traditional edomae sushi, it flies in many of its aquatic delights from the famed Tsukiji fish market in Tokyo. Just be sure to bring a well-stocked bank account, as tasting menus here start at $150 per person.

Omakase still has seats for two at 6 or 8:45pm on Friday, and 8:15 on Saturday. (The situation is a bit grimmer for foursomes, whose only option is 5:30 on Friday.)
