Two armed robberies took place within hours of each other at opposite ends of the Richmond.

The first incident occurred on the evening of September 17th, just after 11pm. Two men, both in their early 20s, approached a 62-year-old man at Park Presidio Boulevard and Geary. 

One man grabbed the victim and went through his pockets, taking his cellphone, wallet, credit cards, ID, and money. The second suspect took the victim's necklaces. 

When the victim struggled, the first suspect pulled out a knife. The two then fled southbound on Park Presidio Boulevard. 

The victim suffered non-life-threatening injuries in the incident, but refused medical treatment.

Two hours later, the second incident took place in Golden Gate Park, on the 1600 block of John F. Kennedy Drive, near the Dutch windmills at the western end of the park. 

Three men, all in their early 20s, were hanging out in the park at around 1:13am on September 18th. Two men, both in their 40s, approached and demanded that the victims get on the ground and give up their money.

The two men hit two of the victims, possibly with a handgun, SFPD spokesperson Giselle Linnane told us. They then fled on foot. 

The two victims suffered non-life-threatening injuries, while the third was not injured.
