A 34-year-old motorcyclist suffered life-threatening injuries in the Bayview on Saturday evening after he was reportedly struck by a driver who then fled the scene.

Police responded to reports of a collision at 3rd Street and Jerrold Avenue at 7:27pm and found the victim facing northbound. He was taken to the hospital in critical condition.

Update, 10/25: According to SFPD spokesperson Robert Rueca, the investigation revealed that no other vehicle was involved in the incident. There is no update on the condition of the victim.
