'Tea Hut' Brings Bubble Tea & More To Lower Pacific HeightsPhoto: Aaron Q./Yelp

A new spot to score bubble tea has opened its doors in the neighborhood. Called Tea Hut, the new arrival is located at 2815 California St. (between Divisadero St. & Broderick St.) in Lower Pacific Heights.

Like other bubble tea shops, Tea Hut offers an array of classic milk teas like jasmine and oolong, as well as more unusual flavors like Oreo matcha, all of which can be enjoyed with or without boba. The shop also offers signature "freezes" made with fresh fruit in flavors ranging from strawberry to mango to pineapple, and some fruit-tea combinations like passionfruit green tea.

The space is simple and spare, with white walls and light wood accents. So far, food doesn't appear to be part of the offering, but drinkers can accompany their tea with a sweet from popular pastry shop B. Patisserie, which is located right next door.

With a five-star rating out of seven reviews on Yelp so far, the fresh addition seems to be welcome in the neighborhood.

Stacey L., who was among the first Yelpers to review the new spot on October 27th, said: "Hallelujah for boba in Lower Pac Heights. I need to go back to try the strawberry energy and get that cute cup with the cute bear on it. I'm a sucker for gimmicks sometimes."

Yelper Monika B. wrote: "I love tea and this place is really great! I went there once and the stuff helped me and advised me about the teas."

And Bruce R. said: "All I can say is that it's about time that someone started a boba place on that corner. Not only is it at a busy public transportation corner, with two daughters that attend a nearby school, I can attest to the fact that the local student population is thrilled!"

Intrigued? Stop in to try it for yourself. Tea Hut is open weekdays from 11am–9pm, and weekends from 9am–9pm.
