An argument over a parking spot in the Mission left a man with critical stab wounds on Saturday night, police have reported.

The incident occurred near Alabama and 24th streets when eight male suspects between 30 and 45 years old got into an altercation with two men aged 31 and 27.

After words were exchanged, the suspects entered the victim’s vehicle “and started assaulting him.” During the attack, a suspect stabbed the 31-year-old victim, who in turn stabbed one of the suspects.

The victim and wounded suspect were both transported to a hospital, but the victim received life-threatening injuries. No word was released on the suspect's condition.

Anyone who has information about this incident is encouraged to contact SFPD via the department's anonymous tip line at 415-575-4444, or text TIP411 with "SFPD" at the start of the message.
