A man was robbed yesterday morning after a struggle that started on a Muni bus and ended on a Financial District sidewalk at rush hour.

In the incident, which took place near Kearny and Geary streets at 9:20am, a male suspect between 25 and 30 years old approached a 23-year-old man on a bus from behind and grabbed his cellphone.

The victim and suspect grappled over the device, eventually moving onto the street where the victim fell to the ground and dropped his phone. The suspect snatched it before fleeing in an unknown direction. The victim was not injured.
