An 18-year-old man suffered life-threatening injuries on Saturday evening when he was attacked inside a Crocker Amazon store by a hammer-wielding suspect.

According to police, the incident occurred on the 300 block of Rolph Street. just after 10pm when two 18-year-old males entered a business and were followed inside by six male suspects. 

After a seventh man "walked into the store with a hammer and swung it at the victims," one of the victims took out a knife and stabbed his assailant before the suspect struck him in the head.

The suspect and victim were both transported to a hospital for treatment, but the suspect is expected to recover from his wounds. The other suspects fled the scene in an unknown vehicle and were not arrested.
