Arlington's Lincoln Square to Transform into Mixed-Use 'Anthem' with Council's Green LightSource: City of Arlington, Texas

In a transformative move for the City of Arlington, Trademark Property Company has unveiled plans to overhaul the aging Lincoln Square shopping center into a vibrant new mixed-use destination named Anthem. The Arlington City Council approved the rezoning of the 45-acre site, setting the stage for the construction of new shops, eateries, office spaces, and residential units, blending community activities with urban living, according to the City of Arlington, Texas.

The choice of Anthem as the new moniker reflects the project's aspirations to embody a spirit of honor and unity amidst the evolving landscape, just a stone's throw from the Texas Rangers and Dallas Cowboys' stadiums, with demolition expected to begin between April and June next year. “With new shops and restaurants, inviting green space for community events, and attractive places to work and stay, Trademark’s redeveloped Anthem will be a first-class destination for Arlington residents and visitors alike,” Arlington Mayor Jim Ross said, according to the City of Arlington, Texas.

The master plan includes tearing down roughly 229,000 square feet of the current structure while renovating 65,000 square feet and preserving another 243,000 square feet of the existing setup. Trademark aims to create a regional magnet for both business and leisure, boasting activated green spaces for public use with outdoor concerts and wellness classes amidst the urbanized makeover.

Trademark engaged in a dialogue with Arlington's citizens over the past year to ensure the redevelopment captures the community's vision, “We have carefully listened to the community and City of Arlington to fully understand their hopes and dreams for a reimagined Lincoln Square,” Jeff Johnson, Managing Director - Development at Trademark, said, concluding that the incorporation of a harmonious variety of new facilities and public domains promises to create a lively locale fostering social connection and lasting memories, the City of Arlington, Texas detailed. When the initial phase is finished, Anthem is set to offer approximately 152,000 square feet of retail and dining options, along with modern offices, a hotel, and eco-friendly apartments.
