Residents of several Chicago neighborhoods are on high alert as a string of armed robberies rattled the city in the early hours of Thursday morning. According to a community alert issued by the Chicago Police Department, multiple incidents were reported across the 001st, 012th, and 018th districts with offenders using a vehicle to arrive at the scenes before brandishing firearms and demanding valuables.

The spree began on the 500 block of S. Racine Ave at 12:15 a.m., with subsequent robberies occurring within a 30-minute period, including the 700 block of S. Clark St, 600 block of N. Fairbanks Ct, the 200 block of E. Randolph St, finally culminating at the 100 block of E. Wacker Dr at 12:44 a.m., this series of events indicating a rapid and coordinated series of crimes that have now left the community reeling and the police on a citywide manhunt.

Three African American males, aged between 15 and 20, dressed in dark-colored hoodies and ski masks have been identified as the suspects. Their vehicle, a distinctive silver 4-door sedan with a mismatched dark-colored passenger door, has become a focal point in the police investigation aiming to put an end to the criminal chain.

People living in and around the affected areas are urged to stay vigilant and report any suspicious activity, particularly regarding individuals or vehicles matching the descriptions given by law enforcement.
