Curacao to Ignite Shopping Excitement with Grand Opening Bash in Chula Vista, Featuring Mario LopezSource: Curacao Chula Vista

Chula Vista is rolling out the red carpet for bargain hunters and fans of entertainment with the grand opening of the Curacao store later this month. As reported by FOX 5 San Diego, this event, pegged for April 20, is shaping up to be a showstopper with deals that promise to rival Black Friday's frenzy.

Situated at 555 Broadway, the latest Curacao store extends its tentacles into San Diego County for the first time, bringing with it an array of products at competitive prices. While the store itself has been operating since earlier this year, it is only now that a bash with slashed prices on tech and appliances is being executed to draw in the masses. Misplaced excitement could be felt with the news of cut-rate offerings such as 75-inch Samsung TVs for $299 and Huffy 12″ Disney Kid's bikes for just $9.

In a surge of family-friendly festivities, the grand opening will also feature live entertainment, complimentary refreshments, and a giveaway. Plus, making an appearance is Chula Vista local and Emmy Award-winning personality Mario Lopez, adding a splash of celebrity to the mix. "Today, as the retail landscape becomes ever more dynamic, we at Curacao are thrilled to bring our unique touch to the Chula Vista community," said Teylez Perez, vice president of marketing at Curacao, in a statement obtained by FOX 5 San Diego.

The store, celebrated for its no-credit-needed policy, caters primarily to the Hispanic community, offering an alternative to traditional credit-based purchasing. This pioneering sales program has evolved into a set of credit options tailored for individuals with low to moderate income. Misplaced after opening its doors back in 1978 in Burbank, Curacao has now expanded to encompass 13 locations across California, Nevada, and Arizona, with an upcoming store in Tucson flagged for later in the year.

Curacao's own Facebook page has also revved up anticipation for the grand opening, beckoning the community to partake in the festivities that are set to run from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. Music will be pumping with live DJs and the event boasts a star-studded lineup including performances by Banda Los Sebastianes de Saúl Plata, Mariah Angeliq, and Luis Coronel, all set against the backdrop of a potential car giveaway. It’s a date not only carved out for savings but also etched for entertainment.

The Chula Vista Center's new destination maintains standard operating hours from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. Monday through Friday, and an extended window from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. over the weekend. Locals can look forward to blending their shopping with a splash of leisure and deals too tempting to resist.
