Authorities in Farmington Hills, Michigan, are requesting assistance from the public in the search for Carle Penny, a 16-year-old girl who has gone missing. As reported by ClickOnDetroit, Penny was last seen at approximately 10 a.m. on Thursday near the intersection of Grand River Avenue and 8 Mile Road.
The Farmington Hills Police Department is concerned as Penny left home without her prescribed medication, which she is required to take. According to the Detroit Free Press, she was last observed wearing a grey tank top, blue jeans paired with a black belt, Crocs, and black-framed eyeglasses, during the time of her disappearance.
In their efforts, Farmington Hills police highlighted Carle's description: a Black female, standing 5-foot-7 inches tall and weighing around 300 pounds with black hair and brown eyes. They also believe that Carle could be in Detroit, in the company of a male acquaintance known to her.
Police Chief Jeff King emphasized the urgency of locating the young girl as time is of the essence, especially considering Carle's medical needs, as per Hometownlife.
