Gwinnett County Rocked by Separate Shooting Incidents in Peachtree Corners, Suspect Charged in Road Rage CaseSource: Gwinnett County Police Department

Gunfire erupted in Gwinnett County, leaving locals on edge as police strive to untangle the events surrounding two separate shootings earlier this month. The first incident, a brazen attempted robbery, played out in a Peachtree Corners apartment complex, with the second, an intense road rage encounter, unfurling on a bustling roadway. Both instances ending without fatal consequences, but not without spreading ripples of concern through the community.

The attempted robbery took place at around 6:30 p.m. on April 11 at The Vines Apartments, as reported by FOX 5 Atlanta. A man demanded money from an individual parked in a truck, but as the victim attempted to evade the confrontation, shots were fired at the vehicle. No injuries were reported, and authorities are seeking a thin black man with short hair, last seen wearing a black shirt and light-colored pants, and possibly with tattoos on his left arm.

Unrelated to the robbery, yet equally startling, was a road rage shootout along Peachtree Industrial Boulevard, outlined by WSB-TV. It took place the same morning, around 7 a.m., when an altercation escalated into gunfire. The victim, while navigating near Holcomb Bridge Road, was cut off by a white pickup, which led to a sequence of events that left his car struck by six bullets, one grazing his leg. "Shooting all around the car. I mean, you weren't expecting this when you woke up," recounted a responding officer.

Lisandro Pacheco, 26, was later apprehended by Norcross police, charged with aggravated assault among others. He currently remains in jail without bond. During the fray, witnesses were urged into cautious avoidance. "I stayed back far enough that I wasn’t going to get in that line of fire," one witness shared over the phone, as per WSB-TV.

As the search for the suspect in the Peachtree Corners shooting continues, Gwinnett County detectives urge anyone with information to come forward, offering two avenues: by calling (770) 513-5300 or Crime Stoppers at (404) 577-8477.
