First responders found the victim with severe injuries and despite their efforts, the individual was pronounced dead at the scene, as per an official release from the Riverside County Sheriff's Office.

The Jurupa Valley Sheriff’s Station Traffic Collision Reconstruction Team was promptly on site to thoroughly investigate the cause of the collision. At this stage, it's still unclear whether substances like alcohol or drugs played a role in the event. The name of the pedestrian has not been released, pending notification of next of kin.
