The streets of San Francisco's Tenderloin district became the scene of a deadly shooting earlier this month, and the search is still on for the perpetrator. In the predawn hours of April 13, San Francisco Police were called to the intersection of 6th and Jessie Streets after reports of gunfire.

Upon arrival at approximately 4:48 a.m., officers found an adult victim with a gunshot wound. Immediate efforts to save the individual's life were made on the scene before the victim was rushed to a local hospital. The San Francisco Police Department has confirmed that, despite the hospital staff's emergency procedures, the victim passed away due to the injuries sustained.

The SFPD Homicide detail is leading the investigation into the Tenderloin shooting. As of yet, no arrests have been made, and the details surrounding the shooting remain unclear to the public and the authorities alike.
