Tempe Bids Farewell to Free Art Friday Season with Toddler-Led Arts ExtravaganzaSource: City of Tempe

Toddlers are taking over the art scene this weekend as the popular Free Art Friday series at Tempe ends its season with a bang, now the little ones are quite literally leading the way in a special event that's all about nurturing their wide-eyed wonder and bubbling creativity, families with tiny tots in tow who fancy some hands-on messy fun are in for a treat.

This final fiesta flips the script, turning the tables on traditional art viewing, it ensures even the squirmiest of kids can jump into the fray with interactive arts activities, a sensory play area, and storytelling that will capture their imagination and probably hold it longer than the latest iPad game.

According to the event details released on Free Art Friday's announcement, the little visitors can leave their mark (quite literally) with "toddler graffiti" sidewalk chalk art, squish and mold garden-themed sensory dough, and design a unique marbled visor - all while dressed for a delightful mess. Emily Bruso brings the musical magic, inviting kids to create music in her session, there's also the WoBo Show: Clouds, a special live theatre performance by Wolfe Bowart that promises to be a hoot and a half for the kiddos.

Eis Cafe will serve up the brew on Friday while La Vida Oats takes over the Saturday shift.  The programming, offering a double shot of fun over the weekend, enjoys partial funding from the generous folks at the Tempe Diablos.

This creative extravaganza requires no registration.
