Charges have come to light against a former Trump aide and several lawyers in a scheme involving bogus electors in Arizona. According to KTVZ, Mike Roman, who directed election day operations for Donald Trump, along with attorneys John Eastman, Christina Bobb, Boris Epshteyn, and Jenna Ellis, are facing nine felony counts from the Arizona attorney general’s office.

The group is accused of trying to muscle Congress with false documents to halt the certification of Joe Biden's presidential win, as per the indictment shared on Friday. However, the indictment's ink remains wet, covering the identities of certain high-profile figures, Mark Meadows, a former chief of staff for Trump, and Rudy Giuliani, his attorney, whose names were redacted due to charges pending against them that are still under wraps.

These developments signify that Arizona has joined the League of states where Trump's confidants face allegations for propagating baseless voter fraud narratives. As reported by ABC15, eleven Arizonans had been previously charged, among them the state's GOP chair, a U.S. Senate candidate from 2022, and two state lawmakers currently serving.

All defendants, including those who partook in an ostentatious vote-signing event captured on video by the Arizona Republican Party, are appointed for their initial court appearance on May 21. They were recorded signing certificates erroneously stating they were the rightful electors since Trump had supposedly won in Arizona, despite Biden’s over 10,000 vote lead. For his role, Trump has not been charged but stands as an unindicted co-conspirator.
