The Bexar County Sheriff's Office is on the lookout for a 60-year-old man, John Raymond Zielinski, who vanished under concerning circumstances, highlighting issues surrounding the safety and care of individuals with severe medical needs in healthcare facilities.

Zielinski, who is reported to have multiple serious medical conditions, was last seen at a Walmart on the 4000 block of North Foster Road, according to KSAT. Described as about 5 feet 9 inches tall and weighing around 185 pounds, with blue eyes and white hair, he was noticed wearing a grey shirt, dark-colored shorts, and white socks – but notably without shoes. His right leg, was mentioned to be swollen, potentially signaling the imminence of a health crisis.

Details released by the Sheriff's Office, which were obtained by Fox San Antonio, indicate that Zielinski checked himself out of his nursing facility prior to his disappearance. He was then dropped off near Mystic Sunrise Drive and Glacier Sun Drive, an area close to the place he was last observed.

The urgency of locating Zielinski stems from his critical need for medication, as his state of health could deteriorate without it.
