Flames were swiftly knocked down in a Roslindale residence late yesterday as Boston firefighters battled a third-floor blaze. The fire, which broke out in a single-family home on Averton St, was contained without any reported injuries. According to a post from the Boston Fire Department on X, the incident left eight people, including six adults and two children, without a place to call home.
