Man Banned from Houston Business Arrested for Spitting on Officer, Charged with HarassmentSource: Facebook/Mark Herman, Harris County Constable Precinct 4

A man who had previously been banned from a local business found himself in cuffs after returning to the scene and subsequently spitting on a law enforcement officer. The incident, which led to the arrest of Elias Rodriguez, occurred in the northern stretches of Houston on Kuykendahl Road.

Authorities were summoned to the the 13500 block of Kuykendahl Road on April 29, responding to a call about a theft at a nearby business. Rodriguez had been slapped with a criminal trespass warning earlier but decided to make a return visit, according to a Facebook post by Constable Mark Herman's Office.

When confronted by the constables, Rodriguez bolted on foot but didn't get far before officers caught up with him. It was at this juncture that Rodriguez allegedly targeted one of the officers in a particularly disrespectful and biohazardous way—by spitting directly in their face.

"Elias Rodriguez was arrested and booked into the Harris County Jail, charged with Evading on Foot and Harassment on a Police Officer," Constable Mark Herman's Office stated in a press release. His run-in with the law earned him a bond set at $5,100.00, as dictated by the 338th District Court and County Court 12.
