Millersville University student Benjamin Wallace, 22, of Denver, has been charged with several felony counts after allegedly engaging in sexual contact and sending explicit images to a 13-year-old girl. The encounters came to light after a School Resource Officer spotted Wallace's Ford Fusion in surveillance footage from Penn Manor High School, according to ABC27.

Wallace, who was confirmed as a student at the university through school records, reportedly met the minor at his job before the two had an encounter in his vehicle. FOX43 reports that the pair were seen leaving an athletic event together on February 5th, with Wallace's car returning about a half-hour later to drop the girl off.

An investigation into the allegations began after authorities received a tip via Childline, claiming that Wallace had met the girl multiple times and had been sending her inappropriate photos and messages on social media. The minor admitted to police that Wallace had kissed her multiple times on her face and that the two communicated via social media after their meeting. She emphasized her age to Wallace, who is said to have acknowledged he could face jail time if caught, according to Pedicurepraktijkmyway News report.

Digging deeper, police obtained a search warrant and discovered text conversations and explicit photos between Wallace's and the minor’s social media accounts. "There were messages about sending disappearing pictures and there was an attachment along with messages Wallace sent that police said contained sexual content," disclosed the criminal complaint, as per Pedicurepraktijkmyway News. On April 10, in an interview, the girl further confirmed that Wallace had sent her inappropriate content.

Currently out on unsecured bail set at $75,000, Wallace faces charges including felony counts of criminal solicitation, dissemination of explicit sexual material to a minor, unlawful contact with a minor, and corruption of minors. According to court records, a preliminary hearing has been scheduled for May 14.
