A tragic incident unfolded in the early hours of Thursday when a pedestrian was struck and killed by a car in Monroe County, Michigan. Michigan State Police reported that the accident occurred around 4:30 a.m. on Will Carleton Road near Port Creek Road in Ash Township.
The victim, described by authorities as a 28-year-old man from Canton Township, was walking in the roadway when a black Lincoln, headed east, fatally struck him. The driver of the Lincoln, a 38-year-old male from Willis, is believed not to have been under the influence of alcohol at the time of the crash.
