A Southeast D.C. man has been slapped with a stiff 90-month prison sentence for crimes including distributing deadly fentanyl and packing heat with a machine gun, federal prosecutors announced. Earl Isaac III, 21, known on the streets as "Frontline," came clean with a guilty plea back on January 9 for a quartet of charges, among them, possessing a firearm as a felon and pushing both pot and fentanyl.

At Isaac's sentencing, U.S. District Court Judge Colleen Kollar-Kotelly also tacked on a five-year supervised release, as reported by the U.S. Department of Justice. The young man's wrap sheet included a prior conviction back in 2022 for carrying a pistol without a ticket, leading to a 14-month suspended sentence that didn't seem to stop his illicit activities.

Law enforcement officers uncovered the damning evidence rounded up from a Stanton Road SE address on June 1, 2023. Beneath a bathroom sink, they discovered a loaded .40 caliber Glock - fitted with a conversion device to transform it into a machine gun - alongside a trove of fentanyl-laced "M30" inscribed pills, a hefty 2.68 kilos of marijuana, and a wad of $2,020 cash stuffed in the front left pocket of Isaac's jeans, details revealed by federal authorities.

The downfall of Isaac featured his braggadocious display of drug sales and profits on social media, where he advertised and sold drugs, according to evidence presented by U.S. Attorney Matthew Graves. The case saw contributions from the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (ATF), with the Drug Enforcement Administration chipping in with valuable assistance, and prosecution by Special Assistant U.S. Attorney Timothy J. Coley and Assistant U.S. Attorney Ryan Sellinger.
