A neighborhood in Northeast San Antonio became the grim setting for a lethal shooting, with a 4-year-old girl pronounced dead and four others grievously wounded. According to KSAT 12 News, the violent episode occurred around 7:40 p.m. on Windsor Hollow Drive, where two men arrived at a home, unleashed a barrage of gunfire with two rifles, and struck all five individuals inside.

The assailants, who reportedly fired 20 to 25 shots before fleeing in a gray vehicle have sparked a manhunt; Sheriff Javier Salazar of the Bexar County Sheriff's Office described the assault as a "targeted attack", with wounded victims now battling life-threatening injuries at the hospital, including two children ages 7 and 8, their current conditions hang in limbo, simultaneously both delicate and severe. Salazar told KENS 5 in a chilling revelation, "It's quite possible some young children may lose their lives here," emphasizing the gravity of the situation before the young girl's death was officially confirmed by authorities.

The Bexar County Medical Examiner's Office has yet to release the identity of the slain child.
