The weekend is almost here, so let's talk about what's going on in the Outer Sunset.

Rain or shine, September will end with a big splash: the annual Hardly Strictly Bluegrass music festival. Beginning on Friday evening, the free music festival will host over 100 acts over three days, including headliners Cyndi Lauper, Chris Isaak, Yo La Tengo, and Mary Chapin Carpenter. (Be sure to check out our guide to surviving the festival, which includes a roundup of street closures and a phone number to call for any issues.)

While Diwali, the Indian festival of lights, isn't until October 30th, the Sivananda Yoga Center is celebrating early with a puja, or prayer ritual.

On Sunday, do your part for Ocean Beach with a clean-up hosted by the Surfrider Foundation. Participants meet at the southern end of the beach at Sloat and make their way north as they pick up trash.

Here are all the events coming up this week in the Outer Sunset. For more fun around the city, check out our full events calendar at hoodline.com/events. If you have an event you'd like to add to our calendar, you can submit it here for free.
